Itinerary and Tour Inclusions
Day 1, June 12, 2012 Tuesday D
We’ll depart EGR Middle School at 6:30 am this morning for our exciting tour to the East Coast and Washington D.C.! We’ll travel through Canada so we can stop and see Niagara Falls and ride the Maid of the Mist. Our first night will be spent in Binghamton, New York.
Day 2, June 13, 2012 Wednesday CB L D
Today will be spent exploring the “Big Apple”. We will board a ferry and visit the Statue of Liberty. Lunch will be at South Street Seaport before boarding a double-decker bus for a ride around town. We will walk Times Square and have dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company. Before heading to our hotel for the night we will go to the top of Rockefeller Center for a fantastic view of the city.
Day 3, June 14, 2012 Thursday CB L D
The morning will be spent exploring Central Park. After some lunch we’ll go to Washington D.C. for dinner and a guided tour of our nation’s capital.
Day 4, June 15, 2012 Friday CB L D
This morning we will visit George Washington’s beautiful home, Mt. Vernon and then on to Madame Tussauds where we will come face to face with some of the world’s most historical figures. The afternoon will be spent exploring the Smithsonian Museums. After dinner and some shopping it is back to our hotel for some swim time.
Day 5, June 16, 2012 Saturday CB L D
We will take a tram through Arlington Cemetery. After lunch at Union Station we will visit the Newseum, the world’s most interactive museum. Then on to Gettysburg where we will have supper, view the movie “Fields of Freedom” and visit the Shriver House where we will learn what it was like being a civilian during the Battle of Gettysburg.
Day 6, June 17, 2012 Sunday CB L D
This morning will be spent touring the Gettysburg National Military Park with a Park Service guide and doing some last minute souvenir shopping. This afternoon & evening we’ll enjoy the amusement rides at Hershey Park! Afterwards, we will reboard our motorcoach and head for home.
Day 7, June 18, 2012 Monday
We will arrive back in West Michigan
