Itinerary and Tour Inclusions
Day 1, June 12, 2012 Tuesday D
We’ll depart North Rockford Middle School at 6:30 am this morning for our exciting tour to the East Coast and Washington D.C.! We’ll travel through Canada so we can stop and see Niagara Falls and ride the Maid of the Mist. Our first night will be spent in Binghamton, New York.
Day 2, June 13, 2012 Wednesday CB L D
Today will be spent exploring the “Big Apple”. We will visit the Tenement Museum and learn what life was like for the immigrants back in 1916. Then on to South Street Seaport for lunch and a heart stopping thrill ride on The Shark. We’ll tool around town aboard a double decker bus. Our dinner will be at the world famous Sylvia’s Restaurant. Afterwards, we’ll travel to Philadelphia and spend the night.
Day 3, June 14, 2012 Thursday B L D
After breakfast at Hard Rock Cafe, we will tour Philadelphia on a horse drawn carriage. The rest of the morning will be spent touring Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell and visiting the National Constitution Center filled with interactive displays. After lunch at the Bourse we’ll go to Washington D.C. for dinner at Union Station and a guided tour of our nation’s capital.
Day 4, June 15, 2012 Friday CB L D
We’ll travel to Mount Vernon to tour George Washington’s beautiful home and then to Arlington Cemetery for the Changing of the Guard Ceremony. We’ll visit the National Archives and Ford’s Theatre. Our supper will be at the Pentagon Mall, with some shopping time before we head back to our hotel.
Day 5, June 16, 2012 Saturday CB L D
We will start the morning with a visit of the Washington Monument, then to the Holocaust Museum. The rest of our time in Washington D.C. will be spent touring the Smithsonian Museums. After lunch we will head for Gettysburg. Once in Gettysburg we will have supper, and enjoy a Ghost Walk through the historic streets.
Day 6, June 17, 2012 Sunday CB L D
This morning will be spent touring the Gettysburg National Military Park with a Park Service guide and do some last minute souvenir shopping. This afternoon & evening we’ll enjoy the amusement rides at Hershey Park! Afterwards, we will reboard our motorcoach and head for home.
Day 7, June 18, 2012 Monday
We will arrive back in West Michigan
