Itinerary and Tour Inclusions
Day 1, June 14, 2012 Thursday
We’ll depart Unity Christian High School at 9:00 pm this evening for our exciting tour to Washington D.C.! We’ll travel through Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Maryland to reach our nation’s capital in the morning.
Day 2, June 15, 2012 Friday L D
We’ll make a stop for breakfast before arriving in our nation’s capital for our first day of touring. We will go up in the Washington Monument, visit the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial and have lunch before we head to our hotel for a little R& R and settling in. We will have dinner at our hotel before heading back into Washington D.C. and tour the memorials of our nation’s capital.
Day 3, June 16, 2012 Saturday CB L D
We will have breakfast at our hotel and then head to Mount Vernon, George Washington’s beautiful home. We will see the Supreme Court Building and the Capitol Building. After lunch we will tour the Newseum, the world’s most interactive museum. After a change of clothes at our hotel we will cruise and dine on the Potomac River while a DJ Emcess on the Spirit of Washington.
Day 4, June 17, 2012 Sunday CB L D
We will start with a morning service at the National Cathedral. After a change of clothes and some lunch we will visit the Holocaust Museum. Then onto Madame Tussauds where we will come face to face with some of the world’s most historical figures. We will have dinner and visit a few more memorials before going back to our hotel for some swim time.
Day 5, June 18, 2012 Monday CB L D
Our last day in Washington will be spent visiting Arlington Cemetery, and then touring the rest of Smithsonian Museums that we have missed. We will have dinner at the Golden Corral in Hagerstown, Maryland before heading for home.
Day 6, June 19, 2012 Tuesday
We will arrive back in West Michigan around 9:00 am
